Vinexpo 2013 – Day 1

Hi everyone. As you can guess this is my bi-annual ( every two years) trip to Bordeaux  what many wine aficionados call “the greatest show on earth”. I have yet to arrive in France so there is not much to mention except that I am waiting here at Pearson’s airport for my flight to be confirmed to Paris. As you all know, there is a air traffic controller flight strike currently happening in France and for the last two days my flight has been cancelled. However Thursday our arrival day, there is supposed to be a non-strike day so hopefully our flight will leave and arrive on time so I can catch my connecting flight. So wish me all luck and will comment upon arrival. I will also  publish my “working” schedule as I am in total study mode and I can tell you that this is hard work. I will be tasting 200-300 wines per day and trying to make sense of all of them.  So here’s to the Vines gang and everyone else reading my daily blog…one life drink it well! And I intend to!
