After an easy night flight from Toronto, we arrived in Paris where we took our connection to Bordeaux. Charles de Gaulle airport is so congested and busy that it took us over one hour just to drop off our bags. Weather in Paris was extremely muggy, so bottles of water became a survival necessity at least for me.
After a one hour delay finally took off from Paris to arrive with luggage in Bordeaux where we took a cab to our apartment which we will call home for the next two weeks. The apartment faces La Garonne with two nice bedrooms and two baths. Tonight will be rather quiet as we will need to be in top shape for tomorrow when we go visiting the Saint Emilion district.
Our first appointment will be with Chateau Beau-Sejour Becot followed by lunch in St. Emilion then we will be visiting Chateau La Fleur Morange, a new chateau for me.
So we will chat again soon. Do not know where we will go for dinner but it will certainly include Bordeaux wine.
Cheers everyone
